OUR STORY

Born from Partnership, Built for the Future

Cinquer Agro Nusantara

PT. Cinquer Agro Nusantara (CAN) was founded in 2011 with a clear mandate: to transform Indonesian agriculture through innovation, technology, and authentic sustainability. Over the past 13 years, we've evolved from a spice sourcing operation into a comprehensive solutions platform serving global markets. Today, CAN operates independently as a market-driven enterprise, combining deep agricultural expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver premium products and custom solutions to partners worldwide.

Our Vision

Prosperity of Humankind: A world where every person can thrive and reach their full potential, and where our planet and its inhabitants are healthy and flourishing.

Our Mission

To empower individuals and communities worldwide to create a sustainable and regenerative future by pioneering innovative solutions, delivering exceptional products and services, and fostering a culture of collaboration and stewardship.

What We Stand For

We don't simply source and sell spices. We engineer comprehensive solutions that solve your specific challenges—from sustainable farm practices to precision-engineered products tailored to your exact needs.

Our Core Belief

The future of global agriculture lies in transforming traditional commodity trading into solution-driven partnerships. We prove daily that authentic social impact and business excellence create extraordinary value together.

WHAT MAKES CAN UNIQUE

Four Competitive Advantages That Separate Us from the Industry

Solutions First, Not Products

While competitors sell standard commodities, we engineer custom solutions for specific industrial challenges—whether it's achieving zero-rejection guarantees, developing innovative formulations, or creating specialty blends. Result: Higher margins, longer partnerships, deeper relationships.

Scientific Precision at Scale

Traditional quality control relies on basic lab testing and sensory evaluation. CAN deploys FTIR Spectrometer and GC-MS analysis for exact organoleptic profiling, delivering consistency that transforms customer confidence into competitive advantage.

Community-Integrated Sustainable Ecosystems

Over 10 years of direct farmer development sets us apart from competitors who buy through middlemen. Our integrated model operates as a complete platform encompassing agriculture, health, education, and business—with farmer education, health support, and sustainable income diversification ensuring supply security. This isn't just commerce; it's a movement toward regenerative agriculture that delivers an authentic sustainability story while building ESG credentials competitors simply cannot replicate.

Collaborative Ecosystem Advantage

Our distributed collaborative model connects us with research institutions, government agencies, NGOs, universities, and international development partners. This multi-stakeholder approach ensures continuous access to cutting-edge innovation, technical expertise, funding support, and scaling resources that amplify our impact and competitive capability.

OUR JOURNEY

13 Years of Transformation

Phase 1 - Foundation & Community Building

PHASE 1 (2011–2017): Foundation & Community Building

We established strong relationships with farmer communities, built transparent sourcing practices, and developed quality pepper supply chains. Farmer training programs and the first Spice Hubs laid the groundwork for sustainable growth.

Phase 2 - Regenerative Agriculture Integration

PHASE 2 (2018–2021): Regenerative Agriculture Integration

We integrated agroforestry and regenerative agriculture practices into our operations. Climate-smart farming, soil health restoration, and the cultivation of complementary crops like nilam and coffee strengthened our ecosystem.

Phase 3 - Scientific Capabilities Development

PHASE 3 (2022–Present): Scientific Capabilities Development

We developed advanced analytical and processing capabilities. Testing facilities, extraction and formulation labs, and partnerships with research institutions enabled us to deliver precision-engineered solutions to global markets.

Phase 4 - Continued Growth

PHASE 4 (Future): Continued Growth

We will expand regenerative agriculture practices and develop solutions across food, health, and cosmetics sectors. Our commitment to farmer empowerment and sustainable supply chains will drive the next chapter of growth.

COMPLETE VALUE CHAIN INTEGRATION

Complete Integration Across the Entire Supply Chain

UPSTREAM: Regenerative Farming & Farmer Excellence

The aGROWforests initiative (2022–2027), supported by GIZ, drives transformation at the source. We have engaged 1,340+ farmers across Bangka Belitung and Lampung provinces, exceeding targets by 12%. Through 10 operational Spice Hubs, we implement climate-smart agroforestry integrating pepper, nilam/patchouli, and coffee—delivering year-round farmer income and restoring soil health across 150+ hectares.

MIDSTREAM: Advanced Processing & Solutions Development

Our R&D ecosystem features specialized laboratories for natural products, extraction, phytochemical bio-purification, formulation, analytical testing, and preclinical research. Cutting-edge technologies—including Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE), fractionation systems, spray drying, and encapsulation—transform raw materials, achieving value multiplication of 10–50× from raw material to finished essential oil.

DOWNSTREAM: Market-Ready Solutions & Global Distribution

Our solutions reach industrial food & beverage, premium retail, and health & wellness markets across every channel. Digital traceability platforms connect consumers directly to farmers. Custom formulations serve international brands, while the Bukara label builds a premium retail presence globally.

STRATEGIC COLLABORATIVE NETWORK

Building Strength Through Multi-Sector Partnerships

We actively partner with research institutions to advance agricultural innovation, collaborate with government agencies on sustainability and climate-smart initiatives, engage with international NGOs on community development and social impact, work with universities on technology innovation and training programs, and leverage support from international development donors committed to regenerative agriculture and farmer empowerment.

Our Partnership Approach

Rather than relying on single relationships, our distributed collaborative model ensures continuous access to cutting-edge research, technical expertise, market insights, and scaling resources. This enables us to deliver evidence-based solutions, adapt quickly to market changes, and amplify our positive impact across Indonesian communities and agricultural landscapes.
