Overview

Mitra Usaha Tani (MUTN) is a partnership program between pepper farmers and PT Cinquer Agro Nusantara (CAN) to produce high-quality pepper. Farmers receive advance payment as working capital for fertilizers and labour, and repay it through pepper sales to CAN in the 2022 harvest season. The program helps farmers overcome cash-flow constraints while maintaining quality and traceability.

Project MUTN

A partnership model that combines working capital, technical support, and secure off-take for Bangka pepper farmers.

Mitra Usaha Tani (MUTN) is a partnership program between farmers and PT CAN to produce high quality white pepper. Farmers receive advance payment that can be used for purchasing fertilisers and paying labour costs during the production cycle, so they are not forced to sell early or cut back on good agronomic practices.

The partnership ends with a transparent pepper transaction in the 2022 harvest season. By linking financing directly to quality pepper deliveries, MUTN aligns incentives for farmers, financiers, and buyers while keeping pepper traceable throughout the chain.
